BARRY CROSS ARTWORK
Barry Cross first saw speedway in the late 1960s when he was taken to Oxford Stadium by his father to see the Cheetahs in action. He was immediately hooked by the sport and soon began drawing his on track heroes. Artwork continued to be a lifelong obsession as his drawing pastime turned into his career with the setting up of his own art and design business. He continued his association with speedway, over the years designing for top British riders including Simon Wigg and Martin Dugard and also giving an identity to the successful campaign to Save Oxford Stadium. He designed the award winning Eastbourne Eagles Speedway programme from 2015 to the club’s closure in 2021. Barry first worked with Drew Kemp in 2017 when Drew was riding for Eastbourne and they continue to work together raising Drew’s racing profile. They have now developed the online store - www.shoponeoneeight.co.uk, to showcase and make available Barry’s work along with Drew’s DK118 racing merchandise.
